Fecowycs-Meers Wedding


Michelle Irene Fecowycz and Kyle James Meers were joyfully united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Elkins Lake Baptist Church in Huntsville. Michelle is the daughter of Peggy Fecowycz-Whitt and the late George Fecowycz Sr., both of Nederland. Kyle is the son of Jean and Larry Meers of Abilene and the grandson of Elizabeth Hill Burnett of Bedford. The service was officiated by Dr. Ken Hugghins of Elkins Lake Baptist Church and Missions/Outreach Pastor Pat Coyle of Grace Bible Church of College Station. Michelle graduated from both Texas A&M; and Sam Houston State University and is currently employed by Brazos County Juvenile Services as the associate staff psychologist. Kyle graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and is employed as a project manager for Hairel Enterprises in Conroe.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, George Fecowycz Jr. of Port Neches, in honor of their deceased father. Serving as maid of honor was Stephanie Garner of Bryan. Serving as best man was Larry Meers, father of the groom. House party members included Sandra Bounds of Huntsville, Crystal England of Bryan, Rebecca Hahn of College Station, Stasha Kraguljac of Houston, Saundra Lorenz of Bryan, Abigail Martin of Bryan and Carolyn Saunders of Bryan. Special appreciation goes to Debbie and David Hairel of Conroe for hosting the rehearsal dinner, to Igor Kraguljac of Houston for serving as photographer and to Tammy Davis of Huntsville for serving as wedding coordinator.

After a honeymoon trip to the Texas Hill Country, the couple now resides in Huntsville.
