After a couple of Bearkats passing touchdowns to Jason Madkins for a 16-yard score and Darnell Jones on a 22-yard strike from Blake Joseph, the SHSU coaching staff has started putting in the second-stringers near the end of the third quarter.
Overall, it was about as lopsided a contest as expected.
Joseph passed for 211 yards with two TDs.
While playing against a lower-caliber opponent, the defense has shown up to play so far, giving up a mere 121 yards of offense.
