Bobby Eugene Taylor

HUNTSVILLE — Bobby Eugene Taylor passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010. Bobby was born on March 15, 1936, in Atoka, Okla., to William Edmond Sr. and Mayola Connely Taylor of Houston.

He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston in 1954 and joined the Air Force on March 7, 1955, and served four years at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He married Eva Gibbs on Nov. 19, 1955. After the Air Force they lived in various places in Texas including Houston, Porter, Midlothian, Palestine, Friendswood and Seabrook until they moved to Huntsville in 1986. Bobby lifelong career was in construction and management with various companies. Wherever Bob and Eva have lived, they have been at home with the local Churches of Christ. Bob was instrumental in the start of the Loaves and Fishes ministry at Huntsville Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edmond and Mayola Taylor; his brother, Kenneth; grandson, Brandon Taylor Hargrove; and son-in-law, Kenneth Colasuonno.

He is survived by his wife, Eva; daughters, Vicki and husband Steve Klovensky, Sharon Colasuonno and Lisa and husband David Traynor; brother, Bill and wife Faye Taylor; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at Huntsville Church of Christ, Hwy. 30 West in Huntsville at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010.
