HUNTSVILLE —
Natalie Tafelski, 90, of New Waverly, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at her residence. She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Fort Worth, to John and Maggie Malinowski.
She was a longtime member of the St. Joseph’s Parish in New Waverly and the Ladies Rosary Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette Marie Tafelski-Shuffler of Houston; two sisters, Emily Gurka of Houston and Fabie-Ann Miller of Conroe; two sons-in-law, John Goodman of New Waverly and Pat Shuffler of Houston; four grandchildren; Natalie (Mark Fentes) Shuffler of Humble, Brett Shuffler of Houston, Jennifer Podraza of Dallas and Jeffrey Podraza of Navasota; and great-granddaughter, Presley Cole Fentes of Humble; her extended family and friends; Margaret Lebedzinski, Raleigh Sapp, Johnny Jankowski, Barbara Szymczy, Johnny and Gloria Tafelski, Bryan and Cathy Paterson,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Tafelski; a daughter, Linda Podraza Goodman; and a son, Billy Ray Tafelski.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. at Brooke Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel; 672 FM 980 Huntsville, Texas 77320. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Waverly with Father Daokim Nguyen as celebrant. Christian burial rites to follow at Elmina Cemetery in New Waverly. Funeral services are under the direction of Brooke Funeral Home in Huntsville.
