George R. Waldron


George Richard Waldron, 77, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at home. He was born July 19, 1932, in Morrilton, Ark., to Clinton and Virginia Waldron.

George was a veteran of the Korean War, psychologist, and retired TDCJ warden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Virginia Waldron.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Waldron; son, Doug Waldron and wife Tracy of Brazoria; daughter, Rebecca Louther and husband Rob of Dodge; brother, Robert Waldron and wife Patty of Oro Valley, Ariz.; sister, Ginger Taylor and husband Gerald of Lake Jackson; sister-in-law, Barbara Weeks and husband Dwight of Waxahachie; sister-in-law, Dorinda Galbraith of El Dorado, Ark.; four nieces, Dawn Hays and husband Richard, Kim Gaspard and husband David, and Rachel Sawyer and husband Jon; three nephews, Robert Waldron and wife Trish, Mark Waldon and wife Michelle, and Pete Waldron and wife Amy; and five grandchildren, Zaida Louther, Zanthe Louther, Mac Louther, Zyla Louther and Mason Stanford.

Services will be held Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Huntsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Newton officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
