Jack Lee Vier

Services for John Lee “Jack” Vier Jr., who died on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel.

Jack was born on Feb. 19, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Lee and Ella Burt Vier. In 1938, he joined the United States Army Air Corps and retired after nearly 30 years of service to his country.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Sheldon.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Geneva Vier of Huntsville; daughters, Mary Person and husband Jim of Los Gatos, Calif.; Julie Devincenzi and husband Emil of Petuluma, Calif.; one son, John L. Vier III and wife Maurine of San Jose, Calif.; and a stepson, Mike Christian and wife Reney of Huntsville.
