Edith Leora Laskie

Edith Leora Laskie was born July 13, 1922 and passed away June 27, 2009.

A life-time resident of Pine Prairie, she was a hard worker and a lady who loved fishing.

Edith was known as the “Cowlady” and her face would light up at any time someone spoke of her cows.

She was one of the strongest smallest women that a person could know.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1998 after over 44 years of marriage.

She is survived by son, Mike Laskie; son, Glen and wife Sherry; grandson, Norman Laskie; granddaughter, Kimberly and Derrick Kirby; grandsons, Justin and Brandon Laskie; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Davis.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. on July 1, 2009, at Pine Prairie Baptist Church. Interment will be at Pine Prairie Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at Pine Prairie Baptist Church on July 1, 2009, from 9-10 a.m.
