Carolyn Sue (Laurendine) Miller

HUNTSVILLE — Carolyn Sue (Laurendine) Miller passed away March 3, 2010, in Houston. Carolyn was born on April 8, 1949, in Laurel, Miss., to Hillman and Kathleen (Fleming) Laurendine.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Glen M. Miller; her mother and father, Delores and Hillman Laurendine; and two brothers, Randy and Johnny Laurendine.

Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sons, Bryon and Glen A. Miller; six grandchildren, Ben, Jonathan, Carolyn, Zachary, Randi and Kaleigh; three sisters and five brothers.

She retired after working many years for TDCJ as a correctional officer at the Holliday Unit in Huntsville.

Services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church in Riverside with Pastor Jim Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Pioneer Cemetery in Riverside. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.
