Carl William Puckett

HUNTSVILLE — Carl William Puckett passed away peacefully on March 3, 2010.

He was born Dec. 14, 1941, the youngest of eight children to David and Florence Puckett of Russellville, Ohio.

During his life Carl served as a police officer for the cities of Georgetown and Ripley, Ohio. He moved to Houston where he worked and owned businesses related to maintenance and home repair. Carl was a member of Trinity Church of Christ where he served his church and community. He was a talented craftsman and passionate outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Surviving him are children, Gwendolyn Puckett and partner Jenna Pakhchanian, and Amber Maple and husband Richard; grandchildren, Rebecca, Andrew, Hali and Kelsey; siblings, Raymond, Arthur and Galdis Hall, and Dorthy Derickson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Less, Floyd and Don Puckett.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Huntsville Memorial Hospital and Christus St. John’s Hospital for the care they provided during this difficult time.

A memorial service is to be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Trinity Church of Christ, 104 W. Jefferson Street in Trinity.
