HUNTSVILLE — On July 23, 2010, a cowboy was taken from his place on earth to be with his Lord and Savior.

Cody was born on April 25, 1990 and passed away on July 23, 2010 at the age of 20.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Dale Popp and Cindy Tatsch; sister, Brandy Popp and fiancé Blake Turner; step dad, Richard Tatsch; step brother and sister, Cole and Leah Tatsch; grandmother, Josephine Popp; grandparents, Jessie and Winfred Estell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cody graduated from Huntsville High School in 2008. He was a Senior Flagman for the class of 2008 and was a Lifetime Member of the Walker County Fair Association, where he showed goats. Cody loved life and most of all his family and friends. He was a true outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and his new found love for bull riding.

Cody is preceded in death by his grandpas, Herbert Popp and Preston Warren.

Funeral services for Cody will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10 a.m. at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville. Interment will be held at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Nada, Texas. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Walker County Fair Association or charitable organization of your choice.
