A brief 12-item agenda faces the Walker County Commissioners Court when it meets in special session at 9 a.m. today at the courthouse.
The five-member court is expected to receive $3.088 for participating in the 2009 Entergy Texas CitySmart Program, having completed energy-efficient projects at four locations.
The county will receive $693 for energy savings at the HEARTS Veterans Museum off state Highway 75 North; $1,504.80 at the Walker County Annex, 1100 University Avenue; $445.50 at the Grandpersons Center, 119 Highway 75 North; and $445.50 at the Walker County Criminal District Attorney building, 10-36 11th St.
Items on today’s agenda include:
• Discuss and/or approve minutes for Jan. 11, 2010.
• Discuss and/or approve award of Bid #C2360-10-004 for Gasoline and Ultra Low Diesel Fuel for the period Feb. 1, 2010, through Sept. 30, 2010.
• Presentation by the Entergy Texas City Smart Program.
• Discuss and/or approve reimbursement of lunch expense for the Hurrex 2010 Regional Catastrophic Exercise at the Walker County Storm Shelter on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010.
• Discuss and/or approve Interlocal Agreement between the City of Riverside and Walker County for Environmental Enforcement.
• Discuss and/or approve request for additional money for tree removal for Precinct 4.
• Discuss and/or approve use of county facilities for Fair on the Square.
• Discuss and/or approve monthly report for December 2009.
• Discuss election equipment update.
• Discuss and/or approve claims/invoices submitted for payment.
• Discuss and/or approve EEOP short form and certification.
• Discuss and/or approve change to policy 3.07 “Vacation.”
