Huntsville police are seeking leads after a daring armed robbery in the parking lot of a local restaurant Tuesday.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., a white female was seated in her vehicle in the parking lot of McDonald’s on 11th Street when an unidentified white male approached her, produced a pistol, and demanded her wallet.
The victim complied, and the assailant quickly removed all cash from the wallet, threw it back at the victim, and fled, leaving the parking lot in a blue older model Buick sedan.
According to HPD Sgt. Blake Galle, the victim was waiting in the parking lot to pick up her children at the time of the incident.
Galle also said that while the suspect was believed to be white, his dark complexion might also suggest Hispanic ethnicity.
Detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene and began to process evidence, including the victim’s wallet, for any possible leads.
Galle said anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the Huntsville Police Department at (936) 291-5480.
