The City of Huntsville invites families to enjoy a weekend of free activities to celebrate Memorial Day at the Memorial Weekend Salute.
Events will take place Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Huntsville Aquatic Center.
Activities will take place on Friday from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday,Sunday and Monday from noon to 4 p.m.
Megan Crank, Recreation Services program assistant, said residents of all ages are welcome to the three days of fun in honor of American soldiers.
“There will be swimming, refreshments, giant games, a hot dog eating contest, a cookie decorating contest, a patriotic bathing suit contest, bobbing for apples, popcorn, a DJ, Karaoke, a 21 Gun Salute and the Huntsville Cruisers,” she said. “It’s free for all ages, and we hope everyone will come help us honor the soldiers.”
Events on Friday will include free swimming, refreshments and giant games.
Saturday’s events include free swimming, refreshments, a hot dog eating contest, cookie decorating contest, a patriotic bathing suit contest, bobbing for apples, giant games and a DJ.
On Sunday, residents can enjoy free swimming, refreshments, Karaoke and giant games.
Memorial Day activities will feature a 21 Gun Salute, the Huntsville Cruisers as well as free swimming, refreshments and giant games.
