HUNTSVILLE — Tickets remains available for Sam Houston State University’s opening round game in a NCAA regional tournament against the Baylor Bears at 1:45 p.m. Thursdayin New Orleans Arena in New Orleans.
David Paitson, associate athletic director/external operations at SHSU, said Tuesday afternoon that “a couple dozen” tickets remained in the SHSU block at the arena.
Paitson said the remaining tickets will be sold until they are sold out or until 5 p.m. today.
Tickets can be purchased by phoning the Athletic Department Ticket Office at (936) 294-1729 or on the Web at www.gobearkats.com.
Paitson said Bearkats season ticket holders had until 11 a.m. Monday to purchase session tickets and remaining tickets in the SHSU block went on sale to the general public at that time.
There were 350 tickets available for SHSU fans to purchase.
The New Orleans Arena is located off Interstate 10 near the Superdome.
Each regional hosts eight teams and share seating locations.
Bearkats fans may purchase tickets to the sessions in which SHSU plays. Tickets for each session are $66 each.
Fans purchasing session tickets from SHSU athletics will be charged $66 for round one at the time of their commitment and automatically charged an additional $66 for the second round game on Saturday if the Bearkats prevail in the opening round.
Tickets for each session may be picked up at the New Orleans Arena will call before the event.
