HUNTSVILLE —
The Huntsville Public Library and other city facilities will experience temporary network losses including loss of internet and phone systems today as the City of Huntsville Information Technology Department works to reroute the city network to accommodate the library’s upcoming renovation and expansion.
According to IT Manager Chris Vasquez, several city facilities, including the library, will experience network interruptions as IT performs rerouting operations today.
“This Friday, several sites will have intermittent network connectivity and/or be temporarily down,” Vasquez said. “For example, the Huntsville Public Library may be affected from 11 a.m. through 5 p.m.
“IT will make every effort to bring these sites back up as quickly as possible.”
The network interruptions are not expected to continue past Friday.
