HUNTSVILLE — Tamara Chasteen, right, and Ann True serve soup to guests at the Empty Bowls Soup Luncheon hosted by Huntsville’s Promise at the Wynne Home Arts Center on Tuesday. Volunteers served soup as guests gave donations and received handmade bowls crafted by local students, seniors and sculptors. The soup was prepared by Huntsville High School culinary arts students, and all proceeds from the event will go to the International Rescue Commission’s Haiti Relief efforts, Good Shepherd Mission and food banks in Riverside and New Waverly.
