NEW WAVERLY —
The Union Pacific Railroad Company will close State Highway 150 between FM 1375 and State Highway 75 to repair a railroad crossing over SH 150 in New Waverly Wednesday.
The highway will be closed from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Texas Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Bob Colwell said Monday that workers from Road Safe Traffic Systems of Houston will be on hand to direct traffic and manage detours for motorists.
“Motorists coming into New Waverly from the east will be detoured to FM 1375 onto FM 2793 to SH 75 back onto SH 150,” Colwell said in a press release. “Motorists coming from the west will take the opposite route.”
Colwell urged motorists expecting to travel the route to observe all warning and detour signs
