HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville Police Department is seeking leads into the investigation of an aggravated robbery at a local residence Thursday night.

Shortly before 9 p.m. three suspects, described as “skinny black males” wearing “black and white shirts and shorts” entered a residence in the 300 block of Seventh street.

The suspects forced the two occupants of the residence, both males, to the floor and bound their hands with a phone cord. One of the suspects brandished a silver handgun of undetermined make and model.

The suspects demanded money and proceeded to strike on of the suspects with the handgun and kick him repeatedly. After several minutes they departed with an undisclosed amount of cash taken from the victims.

Patrol officers from the HPD received a call regarding the incident at 8:55 p.m. and immediately responded. Detective Roy Moore of the HPD Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene to assist in the investigation and has been assigned the case.

According to HPD Sgt. Jim Barnes, the victim struck by the suspects was transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Moore or Barnes at (936) 291-5480.
