It always seems to be a battle when Lamar and SHSU get together. Tonight is no different. With 61 seconds to play, the game was tied at 61.

SHSU guard Ashton Mitchell hit 1-of-2 to give the Kats an 85-84 lead.

On the next possession, Lamar attempted a long 3-pointer with the shot clock running out, but Ashton Hall found nothing but rim. Lamar's Coy Custer and SHSU's Lance Pevehouse went for the rebound, but Pevehouse was fouled. Pevehouse hit both free throws to give the Kats an 87-84 lead.

With no shot clock, Lamar drove the ball down the court and Brandon McThay drained a contested trey to tie the game and force overtime.
