While known for helping out in the community during events and hard times, Huntsville’s Home Depot No. 6578, recently took steps to help one of its own.
In March of 2009, kitchen designer Kristi Campbell was killed in a car accident on her way to work, leaving behind a 15-month-old son, Kendall, who is now in the care of her parents.
Over the last few months Home Depot associates have come together on behalf of Campbell’s family, holding bake sales and car washes as well as collecting donations from its sister stores in District 79.
As a result of their efforts, Huntsville Home Depot employees were able to present a check for $6,338 to Campbell’s family to set up a college fund for her son.
