The New Waverly Public Library hosted a fundraiser at the New Waverly Elementary School on Saturday with a large crowd turning out for “The Main Event,” which included a spaghetti lunch; live and silent auctions; bake shop, where homemade baked goods were sold; Country Store, where home canned items, candles, kitchen gadgets and other general merchandise were sold; and a talent show, featuring students from New Waverly and Willis performing music, dance and drama productions. The event was the major fundraiser for the library.
