Bearkat starter Brent Powers fires a pitch against Lamar on Saturday afternoon at Don Sanders Stadium. Powers struck out seven in seven innings of work, allowing three runs. The sophomore lefthander won for the first time this season, pitching Sam Houston State to an 8-5 victory over the Cardinals.
