The New Waverly football team celebrates at midfield following a win over Buffalo in the regular-season finale on Nov. 7 at Bulldog Stadium. The victory capped a perfect 8-0 season for the Bulldogs, who also went 5-0 in District 21-2A to win the league’s championship. New Waverly made the playoffs for the first time since 2002 and advanced all the way to the Region III semifinals in 2008.
