Buddy and La Nelle Faulkner celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an honorary luncheon held at Second Baptist Church on Oct. 10. Their children, Dianna and Steve Holbrook, Richard and Mary Ann Faulkner adn Kay and Mitchell Coey helped host the event.
Buddy and La Nelle were married in Henderson, Texas, on Oct. 22, 1949. Buddy retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1986 and La Nelle retired from the Walker County Justice of the Peace office in 1987.
They have six grandchildren, Jason Holbrook, Jacob Holbrook, Kelly Byrd, Robby Coey, Juli Larrison and Jennifer Kramer. Their seven great-grandchildren are Jared Holbrook, Reed Holbrook, Lane Coey, Kylie and Kirbie Kramer, and Will and Jo Lynn Larrison.
