John and Lou Ann Fitzgerald of Burleson announce the engagement of their daughter, Chanda Lou Fitzgerald, to Daniel Cody Brown, son of Larry and Carol Brown of Huntsville. Chanda is the granddaughter of Dolores Fitzgerald of Fort Worth and the late John Fitzgerald, and Van and Louine McCasland of Crowley. Daniel is the grandson of Herman and Doris Brown of Huntsville, and James and Joy Hicks of Lufkin. Chanda is a 2004 graduate of Burleson High school and a 2007 graduate of Sam Houston State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with Honors and Magnum Cum Laude. She was a member of the Elliot T. Bowers Honor program. She is employed as a police officer with Sam Houston State University. Daniel is a 2001 graduate of Huntsville High School and a 2005 graduate of Sam Houston State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. He is employed as a police officer with the City of Huntsville. They plan to marry at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville.
