Mr. and Mrs. Edward Taddia of Austin are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Ellen Rebecca Taddia, to Marcus James Krohn, son of Harvey and Rebecca Krohn of Huntsville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Edward and Rose Taddia of Miami, Fla., and the late Ralph and Ova Jay Girtman, also of Miami. Rebecca is a 2008 graduate of Baylor University with a degree in interior design. The prospective groom is the grandson of Anthony and Verna Banes of Huntsville and the late Magdalena Krohn of Waco. Marcus is a 2003 graduate of Huntsville High School. He graduated from Texas State Technical College with a degree in automotive technology and then graduated from Baylor University with a degree in business management. An Oct. 17 wedding is planned at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Austin with a reception following at Thurmann’s Ranch. After the wedding, the couple will reside in San Antonio.
