Steven and Sharon Ellis of Corpus Christi are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sarah Marie Ellis, to Luke Michael Jechow, son of Michael and Joy Spencer Jechow of Uvalde, formerly of Huntsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of John T. and Mary Deane Schultz and Sarah Jean Underwood, all of Portland, and the late James A. Ellis, Sr.

The groom is the grandson of Nelson and Loraine Jechow of Uvalde and the late Carl and Helen Spencer of Huntsville.

Ellis is a 2004 graduate of Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi. She is a senior at Texas A & M University and is currently located at Oxford University in Oxford, England, where she is participating in a study abroad program.

Jechow is a 2004 graduate of Uvalde High School. He is a senior at Texas A & M University, and is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and the Ross Volunteers Honor Guard.

The bride-elect and groom are both 2008 candidates for graduation from Texas A & M University.

The couple plans to wed on August 16 at Saint Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi.
