Reed-Heintz Wedding

Miss Lindsey Ann Reed and Mr. Jeramy Edward Heintz were united in marriage on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at six o'clock in the evening at the First United Methodist Church of Conroe. Reverend Thomas Daniel Irving, friend of the bride, officiated the candlelit, double-ring ceremony. Adam Burnitt Gibson of Houston and Catherine Page Price of Dallas gave Scripture readings. Ruth Ann Person vocalist accompanied by Ann Lee provided music for the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride's parents in the Pectin Room at The Woodlands Resort with music provided by Blind Date Austin. Diane Parkhill Smith of Longview and Kristy Lea Christensen of League City with Jane Jones of Conroe assisting hosted a bridesmaid luncheon on Friday at The Grotto in The Woodlands. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at The Corner Pub in Conroe. On the day of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a luncheon for the groomsmen at their home.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dwane Reed of Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reed Sterling Lindsey of Huntsville and Mr. and Mrs. Dwane Reed of Pasadena. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Patrick Heintz of Conroe. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jan Hatcher Tickner and the late Mr. Russell Tickner and Mrs. Dolly Giesinger Heintz and the late Mr. J. P. “Johnnie” Heintz of Conroe.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride selected an elegant couture gown designed by Bellissima Couture of New York. The strapless gown of winter white silk featured a removable lace fitted bolero with 25 beaded buttons and a fitted bodice embellished with lace and beaded appliqués. The full ball skirt fell into a cathedral train adorned with matching appliqués. To compliment her gown, the bride wore a family heirloom lace cathedral length veil. The bride carried a bouquet of winter white flowers designed by Designs by Billie Rodgers.

Serving as maids of honor were Rebecca Lynn Clifton of Dallas and Abigail Paige Jones of Houston. Bridesmaids included Katherine Ellis Ambrose of Dallas, Kimberly Lattal Carson of Frisco, Mary Kathryn Furst of Houston, Tara Lynn Lok of Dallas, and Kimberly Ann Opitz of Dallas. The bridesmaids wore floor length navy dupioni silk dresses by Watters and Watters of Dallas. Emma Feath Hill and Madeline Elline Hill, cousins of the groom from The Woodlands, served as flower girls. Ryan Jane Cabness of Houston, Jennifer Tomerlin Kornfuehrer of Houston, Nicole Lynnette McCollough of Houston, and Maggie Genevieve Stirneman of Houston served in the house party.

John Russell Heintz, brother of the groom, of Houston, Texas served as best man. Groomsmen included Justin Gilette Crockett of Houston, Zachary Paul Laake, of Houston, Christopher Sean McGee of Conroe, Andrew Carey Radley of Sour Lake, William Windsor Snead II of Amarillo, and Matthew James Worrall of Houston. Jackson Wallace Cleveland and Mason Andrew Cleveland, cousins of the groom from Deer Park, served as ring bearers. Ushers were Gabe David Anderson IV of Dallas, Jaxson Shane Appel of College Station, Martin Everitt Gibson of Houston, Thomas Austin Rodriguez of Houston, Joseph Liam Thomas of Austin, and Jesse Tyler Woods of Austin.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of James E. Taylor High School in Katy. She is a graduate of Texas A&M; University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and an Aggie Hostess. She is currently employed by Cheasapeake Energy Corporation in Oklahoma City.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Conroe High School and a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He is currently seeking his JD at Oklahoma City University School of Law in Oklahoma.

Following a Honeymoon to Porto Morelos, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Oklahoma City.

  • Murphy 60th Anniversary Murphy 60th Anniversary

    Preston Junior Murphy and Billie Marie Peace Murphy were married April 24, 1948 in Timpson, Texas. They will celebrate their 60th anniversary with their son Doug and his wife, Sandy of Keller, Texas; daughter Becky Murphy Frezia and son-in-law Wayne of Huntsville; grandson Shelby and his wife, Keri of Aspen, Colo.; son Zachary Rosado and his wife Jennifer of Huntsville; granddaughter Cody and her husband, Caleb Sanderson of Tulsa, Okla. The couple has also been blessed with four great-grandsons, Braxton Rosado, Preston and Jamie Murphy and Cohen Sanderson.
